Discovery's crew members have spent much part of their day preparing to go home. Their first opportunity to be back for Wednesday at 1657 UTC at the Kennedy Space Center.
Commander Steve Lindsey, Pilot Eric Boe and Mission Specialist Nicole Stott fed the control systems of flight of Discovery and tested the operation of the flaps and rudder of the Shuttle which will be used after the entry Earth's atmosphere. They then tried to maneuver the rocket that will control the shuttle before it reaches the atmosphere.

The crew spent several time to place the containers in the cab and preparations for Discovery's re-entry and landing. Before lunch they participated in a meeting about how to deorbit. After lunch, the team has committed a little 'time to talk with representatives of ABC News, CBS News and Associated Press.
Earlier this day, the crew was awakened with a live version of "Blue Sky" sung by Todd Park Mohr of Big Head Todd & the Monsters, armed with guitar. It was the first time that a live performance of music woke the crew from Mission Control. The song, written for the "return to flight" Discovery of the first mission after the loss of Columbia, won NASA Top 40 song contest.
"It's a terrible memory," said Lindsey Mohr via radio. "But we really appreciate you and congratulations for winning the competition."
Mohr, with its three members of the band in the control center, thanked Lindsey for her courage, boldness and effort can give us all a chance to increase our knowledge. And it is a true inspiration for art. "
The crew will begin its sleep period at 0023 UTC.
