STS-133 MCC Status Report # 16

In the first of two days that were added to the STS-133 mission, the crew of Space Shuttle Discovery will always be committed in some extra work in the new module Leonardo.
The day began at 0923 UTC, when the wakeup call of the day, "The Ritual / Ancient Battle/2nd Kroykah", volume two of "Star Trek: The Original Television Soundtrack" - better known as the fight song of Star Trek - has been played by radio to the astronauts. The song was chosen by the team of crew training.

additional days the crew of Discovery will grant more time to help the crew of the International Space Station to release the module Leonardo Multipurpose permanent and make it usable for his purposes in orbit. Will also be used to help make repairs to equipment.
This work starts today just after 1230 UTC when the commander Steve Lindsey, pilot Eric Boe, Mission Specialists Alvin Drew, Steve Bowen, Michael Barratt and Nicole Stott and flight engineers station Cady Coleman and Paolo Nespoli will spend much of their day's work on several tasks related to Leonardo. Must install equipment inside the module and unpack the Express Rack 8 posted there and prepare it for installation in the Destiny laboratory.
However, in the midst of all that work, she also finds time to talk with students and journalists to Earth.
At 1208, the NASA Educational Technology Services Team and the student interns at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, will answer questions chosen by the students through the NASA Education blog Taking Up Space. The entire shuttle crew, along with Coleman and station commander Scott Kelly, will participate in this event.

Then, at 1548 UTC, all 12 members of the two teams will meet to answer questions from reporters during a joint press conference.
