The crews of Discovery and the International Space Station will receive a special invitation from the White House. President Obama will call the room to talk to all 12 members of the joint missions at 2203 UTC. The call will be broadcast live on NASA Television.

To kick off the eighth day of the Discovery into space, crews were awakened at 1005 UTC from "City of Blinding Lights" by U2, a song chosen for all the astronauts in orbit.

After a busy day on the success of the last spacewalk planned in the final mission of the Discovery, the crew will enjoy a deserved half-day of rest. The first part of the day, however, lead to the continuation of the transfer of goods between Discovery and International Space Station. To date, 76 percent of all load transfers are completed.

Crews will also participate in two sessions of the conference. The first will be held at 1308 UTC by CNN reporter, WTTG-TV in Washington DC; of WSTP-TV in Tampa, Florida and KNBC-TV Los Angeles will speak with the crew of the shuttle.

The second is scheduled at 1533 UTC when the Discovery's pilot Eric Boe and Mission Specialists Mike Barratt and Nicole Stott will speak with reporters from MSNBC, WXIA-TV Atlanta , and Fox News Radio.

Meanwhile, the Station Commander Scott Kelly's flight engineer Cady Coleman will do maintenance work on the group to remove dell'anidride carbonica della parte americana della Stazione.
