Space Shuttle Missions Database. Version 1.6.

I do not know how many of you know this but are some years that I care a database where I insert an insane amount of data on space shuttle.

After a stop of more than two years I took my courage in both hands and I upgraded to the latest missions.
Unfortunately we know that this database will have a specified period, after which updates will be worth just to add data to old missions, but not new.

With this edition data entered are well over 70,000 and many have yet to find in the various NASA sites.
If you want, you can download at this address the zip file that contains the table in Excel format and OpenDocument formats OpenOffice.
Your comments, tips or links to documents containing data to be included on this work are, as always, very welcome.

Thank you all.

PS: the section is edited by his friend Fausto Dell'Orto astronauts to thank you for the work they do and to whom I have yet to ask for the updated version of the table.

Mission Control Center, Houston, Texas

Discovery today made its final landing at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, concluding a successful flight to the International Space Station and a history of 39 missions that cover 238 million miles driven in 365 days in space.

"Discovery, for the last time, without wheels," said Commander Steve Lindsey.

"A great job done by you and your team," said the Capcom and fellow astronaut Charlie Hobaugh. " that you have just done all of you was an awesome mission to the ISS.

The crew landed just in front of the Discovery [NASA].
Lindsey thanked the team of flight controllers, the crew of the station and the team at KSC that have provided "a perfect vehicle from beginning to end."

The landing, like the rest of mission, was almost perfect. The Discovery of the wheels touched the concrete runway at 1657 UTC, after a flight of 12 days, 19 hours and four minutes and 8'486'624 miles driven in 202 orbits.

Lindsey, Pilot Eric Boe and Mission Specialists Alvin Drew, Steve Bowen, Michael Barratt and Nicole Stott have delivered a new module and external stowage platform to the station as well as equipment and supplies. During the nearly nine days since Discovery at the station, and Drew Bowen made two spacewalks to perform maintenance and installation of new components.

The visit of the Discovery Station has been extended two days so the crew could complete the preparation of the Permanent Multipourpose Module Leonardo, the very form delivered into orbit by Discovery. Leonardo had visited the station as early as seven times as a logistics module for transport of loads, but has since been renovated to serve as a permanent addition of 70 cubic meters per orbiting laboratory. Among the 2,700 kg of load was also present on Leonardo 2 Robonaut, a robot that replicates the top of a human torso, which could be a precursor of devices used to help during the spacewalks. About 900 pounds of additional cargo to the station were also loaded onto the shuttle middeck.

The unofficial mission time was 12 days, 19 hours, four minutes and 50 seconds. The Discovery flight has to reach a total of 5'830 238'539'663 mileage orbits.

The crew will return to Houston for a welcoming ceremony at Ellington Field's Hangar 276 tomorrow, Thursday 10 at about 4 pm, Houston time. The gates to the public, is invited to attend, will open at 3:30 pm.

the wake of the Space Shuttle Discovery.

I have received several reports from fans who refer me to a strange trail that followed the Discovery during the passage of last night on ' Europe.
Here is a picture of the strange phenomenon.

And a bit 'of concern has also been seen: Some have speculated that the shuttle had fallen too low and has touched the upper atmosphere, or who has had to turn on the engines to rise.
Not at all.

LAST WATER DUMP:  At the end of the day on March 8th, a strange curlicue-shaped comet appeared in the twilight skies of Europe. It was space shuttle Discovery performing a dump of waste water. Crystals of flash-frozen urine and other substances glistened in the sunlight, putting on an impressive show.

Quindi mistero risolto.

The best wines of our country: Valpolicella

Who among us does not know the wines of Valpolicella? Amarone, recioto in particular, are known in the wine world, the most prized nostra penisola.

Tutti questi vini vengono prodotti using the best products and most advanced equipment to produce a product of true quality, an example is stainless steel tanks, which are necessary for the maintenance and storage of wine. The classic Valpolicella is made from grapes of the place of biological origin, part of the vineyards several decades of the precious variety Rondinella said. It 's a young wine that you should consume if you want to appreciate the features, at cellar temperature and can be combined very well to different dishes. In

Valpolicella Classico Superiore but the taste is refined through the process of aging that you get at least a year, leaving the wine in oak and then other six months in bottle, this wine goes well with the first strong and rich as well as a red and white meat in particular cheese.

recioto The wine is unlike the others mentioned above where you use the thinnest bunches, said just recie which takes its name suggests, these facts are collected in early October to dry on the racks with the same functionality stainless steel trolleys and remain there until mid-February until the fermentation rate (the same procedure is carried out for Amarone). In both cases, the racking (moving the wine in small barrels) is carried out in order to give the wine a more alcohol, thanks to its fermentation. Amarone wine is still the ultimate known and appreciated by many in the world for its unmistakable aroma and taste.

European Poker Tour: it's time for Berlin

Questi i numeri racimolati dalla tappa berlinese del 2010: 945 players from 48 different countries, a € 5,300 Main Event and a total prize pool of € 3,686,400. Numbers that have crowned EPT Berlin as the largest poker tournament ever in German. A great success for the German poker, if we consider that the 'European Poker Tour is seen as one of the tournaments of Texas Hold'em No Limit's most important at international level, an event that attracts the best players from around the world and also characterized by a high buy-in, ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 euro (in the stage of Monaco). In German lands the best player on the international scene will gather at the Grand Hyatt Hotel at the events of the Main and Secondary Event, while the cash games will be held at the casino.

The EPT will arrive in Berlin after having touched so many casinos and many other cities: the tournament kicked off last August from Tallinn, Estonia, to arrive in Portugal, more precisely in Vilamoura, and subsequently stopped in London, Vienna, Barcelona, \u200b\u200bPrague, Deauville in France, Copenhagen again in Austria on the occasion of Snowfest. A real European tour lasting about nine months which allowed the best players to test themselves in the most famous casinos in the old continent and at the same time has given to many European cities can attract a large number of players and fans di poker.
